We would like to focus this update on our men's ministry by sharing this past month's happenings here with you---Saturday, October 6, we hosted a men's day retreat here---we feel so blessed to be able to offer our property for these type of events... TEACHING TIME ON OUR GAZEBO OUR FRONT...

We would also like to share that after 5 years ministering here, the men's ministry in Santiago--including the prison ministry--is all now run by Dominican leaders with Dave simply visiting from time to time to offer encouragement and discipleship. PRISON MINISTRY... Here is Pastor William, who had the heart for prison ministry, leading a discipleship training at the prison in Moca--the prison ministry is now truly his ministry--please keep him in prayer...

Pastor William has a servant's spirit and a shepherd's heart for the lost and hurting...

Men's discipleship-- Pastor William is now focusing more on individual discipleship of potential leaders--his transparency makes him a very good mentor--here he is with one of his mentees (director of the Moca prison)at his graduation from law school...

We were so very grateful for the visit from Sara Thompson, from our home church Eastview Christian Church---she "did life" with us here for two days and held a teaching time for the women of Lajas--thank you Sara and please come again!! FAMILY NEWS... We had two big events this past month---our oldest, Shane, defended his dissertation, and passed so he will be receiving his PhD---Congratulations Dr. Dillingham---we are very proud of you!!!

And our youngest, Rebekah, celebrated her sweet 16 birthday!! The birthday girl---

PRAYER REQUESTS...

For our re-entry into life in the United States. May we be gentle and patient with ourselves and others.

For our family--- Pray for us all as we adjust to our new lifestyles and God's ongoing plans for us.

For Rachael and Beka as they get ready to go back to Taylor University later this month.

For more connections with our older two children, Shane and Blythe, as we are all stateside now!!

For Dave---as he adjusts to his new work, that he allow God to lead him day by day.

For Cherry's mother---She will be living with us here in Bloomington this fall. May we care for her well and be a blessing to each other.

For all the seeds that were planted in the DR and in our hearts--may they grow and become strong in God's Kingdom.

MY LORD GOD, I have no idea where I am going. I do not see the road ahead of me. I cannot know for certain where it will end. Nor do I really know myself, and the fact that I think that I am following your will does not mean that I am actually doing so. But I believe that the desire to please you does in fact please you. And I hope I have that desire in all that I am doing. I hope that I will never do anything apart from that desire. And I know that if I do this you will lead me by the right road though I may know nothing about it. Therefore will I trust you always though I may seem to be lost and in the shadow of death. I will not fear, for you are ever with me, and you will never leave me to face my perils alone.
